Neal had a very interesting childhood. It all started in a town called Pine Mills. Back in those days you could find little Neal running around acting like a pirate. Throughout his childhood Neal did everything according to the pirate code. Every Halloween you could bet that Neal was dressed up in some ancient pirate costume complete with a busty fake moustache and earrings. When he began to pitch he developed a unique “on-guard” pitching stance that is uniquely his. He was a top prospect coming out of college but there was only one team for which he wanted to play for, the Pirates. What a fitting climatic event to one the most fearsome and grungy pirates ever to play baseball, Neal Heaton.
“Arghh ya matey gonna walk the bases Captain Neal, get it together or ye be dead in this sea.”
Neal played for 12 seasons on 7 teams. He had 699 strikeouts during his career. How annoying would that be for him to be one away from 700. Maybe he should come out of retirement and just strike one guy out, just a suggestion Neal.
